Copper
Especially for electrical components
About
Pure copper for electrical or electronic plant and components is increasingly produced by hot-pressing. This is because the metal becomes so dense when subjected to the pressing process, with applied pressures of several hundred tonnes.
A contact block of several kilograms can be manufactured in one operation, and the amount of machining required is minimal. Previously, electrical conductors were either cast, which led to poor conductivity, or machined, which can be very costly.
Our
A great number of copper alloys are available to the modern engineer. And through hot-pressing it is possible to achieve precisely the desired strength and conductivity.
On the table you can get a first-hand impression of the properties of hot-pressed copper. Our engineers and technicians are ready and waiting to tell you even more about this versatile material.
Beyond the above, there are many special alloys available, according to the properties desired. Data for these can be supplied on request.
